Well I must say that this lovely place was an unexpected pleasure! We just happened in by checking for a place to eat near where we were driving on Google and what a surprise! The atmosphere was warm, waitress extremely efficient and pleasant, and food spectacular! Kudos to the chef! My husband and I had the Sharing Platter which was simply amazing and so much we took some of ours with us. Our friend enjoyed the Mushroom and Bacon Pasta dish. This warm, inviting restaurant is certainly a place to enjoy!

From the moment you walk in you are great with a warm hello and are sat straight away.We ordered two cappuccino which were the most delicious coffees we have ever had, no bitterness whatsoever.For lunch my husband had the eggs benedict, I had the bacon mushroom pasta and we split the fried chicken tostada.Everything was so fresh and great portions.We didnt have to wait long at all for the food or coffees to come out. That in itself proves excellence in service and customer satisfaction.Main street cafe and restaurant is our new favourite place to eat in invercargill.

Can't fault the egg Benedict I had today along with my flat white , everything about it was perfect . Great hospitality by staff and very good value meal . Thanks for a great experience. We will be baxk again soon.

Wow you guys were extraordinary. Dinner for 95 people night one, breakfast for the next 2 mornings. Great food, great service and smiles and conversation. Couldn't have had a better place to eat and make merry.Thank you to all the staff that worked that weekend.

A gem of a restaurant! What a wonderful surprise when we discovered this lovely cafe. The service was excellent and the food fabulous. My eggs were done exactly as I asked as were my husband’s. Coffee was delicious. Excellent value also. Spectacular culture.This place is obviously frequented by locals and tourists alike and everyone is warmly welcomed. Well done Main Street Cafe!!

This place is the best! Amazing service that makes you feel like royalty. We came in with our twins and nine year old and Prince and his team made our visit very special. We loved the food options and I was so happy to get an eggs benedict with baked salmon instead of smoked like everywhere else! I love how our somewhat complicated coffee order was no problem at all. We will definitely be back.
